T-Shirt Dying as Christmas Gift

Happy New Year Everybody,

Well its been a long 2016 and I am super happy it is finally 2017. A new chapter, a new year full of crafty stuff. And on that note let go back to Christmas as we did something totally different this holiday with my family.

What we ended up doing is a “Create Your Own Gift” exchanged. Honestly it was a bit refreshing to see what my sisters would come up with. Since they have different forms of craftiness. For example I can’t sew to save my life but my little sister Rosemary has an amazing eye for it. The second eldest sister has an awesome talent to look at a room and make it look beautiful. Which I can not.

Luckily for me I drew my Bother-in-Law so I didn’t have to try to sew or figure out what went well in a room. Few dodged a bullet there! And speaking of bullets I though what a perfect gift to give a gamer then a T-Shirt with Bullet Bill on it.  Now my Bother-in-Law is not a tiny man. He as tall as a Tree and skinny as one too.  So no 8.50 X 11 image could be placed on this XL shirt.

No I had to use my Silhouette Cameo 12 X 24 Mat to get the Stencil done. Much like I had to do for all his shirts.  Now I have never bleached a shirt in my life…. Well not on purpose any way. So I went to to see how I could make this happen.

Bullet Bill

Since I was using my Silhouette I didn’t really use 80% of the items posted. Instead of freezer paper I used just plan old packing paper ( You know the kind of stuff that comes in Amazon boxes) and packing tape to hold down my images. I wanted the T-shirts to look vintage so if any bleach bleed throw it just gave that worn out look.

TellTale – The Walking Dead

Now this one took a little more care to make a layer effect. Since didn’t really have anything I could reference I went to the next best thing YouTube. Here I found a YouTuber who can teach you how to layer when you bleach. His YouTube tag is Mad Stuff With Rob: Not only his he funny but gives you clear insturctions on how to do his right.

Shadow of the Colossus

This one is my favorite silhouette images I made. However a red T-shirt was not the way to go.  It came out to light and a lot of the details where lost. Overall he seem to really like it any way, which is the reason we even did this.

Well I hope you liked what you see, I hope to post some videos soon.

Back in the Swing of Things!

Well it has been a long time… I see from my last post I hadn’t done anything since July 24, 2013. Wow I tell you, times flies when you have a baby. My little baby girl was born on October 23 and was a healthy 6 lb 6 oz. Now she is a chunky 12 lb 10 0z, it that good mommy milk she’s getting.

Well enough with the baby talk and on to the craftiness! As most of you know being Prego made me super sick so it wasn’t after my little girl’s arrival that I was able to really go back in my craft room. I tell you there were un-human smells coming out of my craft room that only pregnant women could smell. Now that I am somewhat normal I don’t have that problem, and I was able to create these beautiful ornaments for my husband’s co-works.

Pretty nice huh? I wouldn’t have made these ornaments if it wasn’t for my husband taking his personal ornaments to work that I had made in 2012. They were prototypes of King Boo, Ba-Bomb, and Spiny. Even though they were prototypes they were still very well made but I didn’t feel they were sell-able. He displayed them proudly on his desk and before I know it I had orders to make the lovely creatures you see above.

And I am still getting orders. I recently finished a Kirby Fighter ornament that turn out pretty nice. If I make at least 5 to 8 of each item I posted above, I just might go back to Etsy to sell them.

Super Mario Bro. Coin Box

Hello All,

For those of you that have been following my posts on Facebook, I know you guys  know that I have made these adorable gift boxes for each ornament that pertains to Super Mario Bro. And for each order of any Super Mario ornament will receive the box for free!

Man I love having my shop and running!

Ornament Transformation – King Boo

King Boo (Japanese: キングテレサ King Teresa) is the leader of the Boos and the main antagonist of the game Luigi’s Mansion, where he first appears to be Luigi’s nemesis. He is also an ally of Bowser, who has aided him in his various schemes. He is more than capable of devising and enacting villainous plans by himself, including his capture and imprisonment of Mario. Although not the biggest Boo in the Mushroom World, King Boo has abilities that far surpass that of the average ghost, and he wields a number of impressive magical abilities, including the ability to materialize objects. King Boo’s magical power is directly proportional to the number of Boos in his vicinity.

Yeah, that way too much info for a polymer clay and glass ornament. lol

Minecraft – Steve and Creeper

Hello All,

For Halloween my husband and his younger brother will be going as Steve and Creeper from the video game called MINECRAFT.  Now since neither my husband nor his brother has the time to make or get a costume for October 31st that fun task fell on to me. Now this idea was not mine to take credit for, it actually came from CyberDrone from DeviantArt at: But the one that tipped me off to this great discovery is our Nephew. He Dad  sent this photo of his little boy of Steve the Minecraft Warrior holding a Creeper head in one hand while swinging his sword in the other.

So cute don’t you think?

So that had me on my own quest to make these block head Hero and Villain man size. When I had completed the block masks my husband suggested to me he could make the Creeper a little more interesting. So he and I are collaborating in making the Creeper’s eyes glow from behind the mask. If you want to check out how he made this part work check out his blog at: He is one of the techiest guys I have ever met and if you have any question please feel free to drop him or me a line. We will be more than happy to tell you the details to this project.
