birthday, LEGO, Ornament, Spider

Hello Crafty People!

Well I know I have  been silent since September. But a lot has happen, first I had to make two set of birthday invitations for a LEGO themed party. Why two set? Well the first set were “lost” by my nephew. His young so I forgave him. Then I had to make Ninjago Stickers for the balloons, straw Lego heads, LEGO treat bag faces and Masks, and LEGO cupcake holder (which were scraped). Oh well all fare in love and parties.

I have been working on ornaments as well for Christmas. These little guys I know will be selling out fast when I post them on Esty. They always do.

I have also been working on Spider Charms. These guys look super realistic. So much so, my little girl wouldn’t touch them for fear that it was going to jump out at her. I will be posting a tutorial on how I made them on Friday.

Hello Subbies,

Well its day seven of creating ornaments for Etsy. If you haven’t guessed it from the photos below, I am making Kirby Link from Super Mario Smash Bros video game. Now this is not the final product, I still need to sew the details on Kirby Link’s hat. I still need to glue the sword together and of course I need to paint everything. Ahhh the devil is certainly in the details, but it’s going to be worth it once everything is said and done.

Well it has been a long time… I see from my last post I hadn’t done anything since July 24, 2013. Wow I tell you, times flies when you have a baby. My little baby girl was born on October 23 and was a healthy 6 lb 6 oz. Now she is a chunky 12 lb 10 0z, it that good mommy milk she’s getting.

Well enough with the baby talk and on to the craftiness! As most of you know being Prego made me super sick so it wasn’t after my little girl’s arrival that I was able to really go back in my craft room. I tell you there were un-human smells coming out of my craft room that only pregnant women could smell. Now that I am somewhat normal I don’t have that problem, and I was able to create these beautiful ornaments for my husband’s co-works.

Pretty nice huh? I wouldn’t have made these ornaments if it wasn’t for my husband taking his personal ornaments to work that I had made in 2012. They were prototypes of King Boo, Ba-Bomb, and Spiny. Even though they were prototypes they were still very well made but I didn’t feel they were sell-able. He displayed them proudly on his desk and before I know it I had orders to make the lovely creatures you see above.

And I am still getting orders. I recently finished a Kirby Fighter ornament that turn out pretty nice. If I make at least 5 to 8 of each item I posted above, I just might go back to Etsy to sell them.

Candy Cane, Card, Christmas, Ornament, Paper, Pattern

Hello All,

My 2 year old son put up some ornament on our fake tree last week and after seeing him weigh down one side of it, it got me in the mood to create this. The light and green pattern was chosen after looking at my poor sad tree as it screamed “help me I’m going to fall over.” The candy cane strips pattern was chosen after he chomped down on his very first candy cane this year. After running all over the house for an hour on a sugar rush he crashed on his soft green spider blanket that we got at Wal-Mart the year before. Thus the green band that bridges both patterns together.

So sweet pea when you’re older and you read mommies post know this card was made because of you!

  2. Cut your pattern paper at 4 ½, position your buttons on your pattern paper. Using your pencil make small notation where your button will be placed.
  3. Take your red and sheer ribbon and measure out about 2 ½ to 3 inches and cut 3 strip of each ribbon.  Tape your ribbon over lapping one another on the back of your pattern paper coordinating to where you will be placing your buttons. Take a small bead of Tacky glue making a line right to where your pencil marks. Hold down your ribbon one at a time and white a few moments to let the glue dry.
  4. Take your E-6000 and put a good portion of glue on the back of each button and place them over your ribbon and pencil marks. Give a few moments for your glue to dry.
  5. While you’re waiting for your glue to dry make three small red bows using your Red ¼ ribbon. Put a small amount of Tacky Glue over each button making them look like ornaments.
  6. Grab your twine, tape one end to the bottom of your card start wrapping it around abut tree times.  Once done tape the last end to the back of the card.
  7. Make a 2 inch tag using a tag punch or using a die cutting Machine on brown card stock. Cut a 1 ¾ out of cream color cardstock.
  8. Using any Joy stamp, stamp it using brown ink in the center of your cream color cardstock.  Adhere the 1 ¾ tag to the 2 inch tag and position above your ornament buttons. Once you have a fixed idea put two pop dots to the back of your tag and adhere it to the pattern paper.
  9. Now center and place your pattern paper onto your brown cardstock.

Hello All,

Well this is the last week of November, were all these creations I have made will be placed on our fake Christmas tree. But before I do I have one last ornament, Snowmen. No tree can be complete without Snowmen. So get your kids in on this project, have them twist different color pipe cleaners, pick out googol eyes, and some nice pompoms.

However leave the gluing to mom and dad, the last thing we need is kids gluing themselves together, or their clothing to the table. You have no idea how hard it is to get them off that thing.

King Boo (Japanese: キングテレサ King Teresa) is the leader of the Boos and the main antagonist of the game Luigi’s Mansion, where he first appears to be Luigi’s nemesis. He is also an ally of Bowser, who has aided him in his various schemes. He is more than capable of devising and enacting villainous plans by himself, including his capture and imprisonment of Mario. Although not the biggest Boo in the Mushroom World, King Boo has abilities that far surpass that of the average ghost, and he wields a number of impressive magical abilities, including the ability to materialize objects. King Boo’s magical power is directly proportional to the number of Boos in his vicinity.

Yeah, that way too much info for a polymer clay and glass ornament. lol
